A report on Industrial Visit to Vigyan Ashram” for SE

Industrial visit of SE students was arranged to Vigyan Ashram on September 21st, 2022. The faculty coordinators and student coordinators took the initiative to arrange and accomplish the visit successfully. The Head of Department Dr. Y. S. Angal and Principal of the Institute Dr. T. K. Nagaraj encouraged the students to actively participate in the industrial visit. We left the college for the Industrial visit at 9:30AM through college bus.

We reached at Vigyan Ashram at 10:30 AM. The coordinator of the Ashram MS. Suvarna Wadekar guided us throughout the visit. At first they took us to the seminar hall were they had given the presentation on the different real life projects on which they are working and developing the same. Mr.Arun Dixit, scientist gave the presentation. The presentation took about one hour in which the students interacted with the speaker.

After that the total students were divided into two groups of 29 each and took us for the visit in the Ashram in which they explained the development of Compost machine, Joy stick through 3D printer, they also explained the use of engineering in agriculture etc.

They took us to culture lab and explained the significance of soil testing after that we were taken to workshop lab were they explained different equipment’s for making the projects. They also are in the planning to start development of embedded projects.

We also visited the fabrication lab which contains the 3D printer, Laser cutter, PCB developing machine and demonstrated and explained the working of different machines.

After the visit of the Ashram we were taken back to the seminar hall and we had an interaction with the coordinators and interns who cleared the doubts of the students. We left the Ashram at around 2:30PM.
